Library Quiet Spaces: Finals

Looking for a quiet space to study during finals?

AU Library has designated the 4th and 5th floors as quiet spaces during extended hours and finals week, April 27th through May 6th.

Study rooms and open study areas are available to students on both floors. If a computer is not available in the study room, outlets are present for personal computers.

• Interested in reserving a study room?
  The circulation desk, library main floor, has sign up sheets. Reserve a study room on the third, fourth, and fifth floor for three hours.


• Having trouble with your computer?
  Check out a laptop at the circulation desk, library main floor.

Therapy Dogs in the Library this Week!

Starting Sunday, April 27, 3-5,  therapy dogs visit the AU Library! The Library & Center for Academic Support hope to make Finals stress-free for you. Come cuddle with the visiting therapy pups, take a quick yoga break, snag

a cookie, and chill out with some coloring books & Legos. We're open until 2am on school nights.

Library Extended Hours

Sunday, April 27th, AU Library will begin its extended hour's schedule opening at the regular time and remaining open until 2:00 a.m. providing study and work space for students during the last week of classes and finals.

The Instructional Resource Center, library second floor, does not participate in extended hours. Color printing and IRC resources are not available in the library during extended hours. A complete list of Library hours updates is available on the Library web site.

Library Hours: Easter Break

AU Library hours for the Easter Holiday break are as follows:

• Wednesday, April 16th - 7:45 am to 5 pm
• Thursday, April 17th - 8:00 am to 5 pm
• Friday, April 18th - Closed
• Saturday April 19th & Easter Sunday, April 20th - Closed

Did you know? Study Rooms

Did you know it is possible to reserve a study room in the library?  Study rooms may be reserved for three hour blocks of time throughout the academic year.  

• Network computers in the study rooms print to the library main floor.  
• White boards are available for use
• Markers and erasers are available at the circulation desk.

AU Library spring break hours begin Saturday, March 1st.

• Saturday 3/1 and Sunday 3/2: Closed
• Monday 3/3 through Friday 3/7: Open 8 am to 5 pm
• Saturday 3/8 and Sunday 3/9: Closed

What's New? Library 4th Floor

Looking for a quiet nook for studying or small group work in the Library? The fourth floor has been re-purposed to incorporate three unique work areas providing tables, chairs, and comfy seating. Also available on this floor:

• Study room (401) 
• Network computers, print to the main floor
• Library main collection LC F through K
• Restrooms
