We're Back! Circulation & Reference

We are excited to announce that circulation and reference services are back on the main floor of Archer Library. Our new service desk is located on the west side of the main floor. 

• The left side is Library Circulation; you will be able to checkout items, including OhioLINK, Interlibrary Loan, and reserves. 
• The right side is reference; librarians are on-call throughout the day, ask at the circulation desk for reference help and the librarian on-duty will meet with you. 

Signage for our new area is pending, be sure to stop and ask about services. We look forward to seeing you in our new space.

Library Resources Update - IBISWorld Database

    IBISWorld Database has been added back to the AU Library resources! We are happy to have this significant resource back for our faculty and students to use in their research. IBISWorld was a resource previously held by the Library, but was discontinued in Summer 2020 due to budget cuts. 

 
   

   IBISWorld offers users industry profiles with key data on more than 700 U.S. industries, arranged by NAICS code. It can be searched by NAICS code, industry, Company, and keyword. Each report is about 25- 30 pages and covers Industry definitions, Industry performance, Key statistics, Jargon and glossary, and other information.

  It is live and ready to use for your research needs. The best place to find it is through the Library's A to Z Database guide. (https://libguides.ashland.edu/az.php)

Library Help: Reference Hours

Need help?  Reference hours are available six days a week:

• Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. 
• Friday, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 
• Sunday, 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

AU Librarians can provide extensive help at the reference desk, but if you want to be sure that there will be enough time to fully explore your research question, schedule a research appointment with one of the reference librarians.

Library Spotlight: Reference Area

The newest edition to the library main floor reorganization project is our reference area! Located next to the reference collection, this easily accessible dedicated reference and information station makes it easy to work with an AU librarian in a comfortable setting.
