Reserve a Library Study Room

Choose your Space •
Need a place to take an online test? Does your study group need a quiet place to work? Archer Library's online study room reservation system provides opportunity for you to book a study room on the 2nd (201), 4th (401), or 5th (501 & 502) floor.

Select a Room & Time •
Why make a reservation? A reservation guarantees the study room is available to you at the scheduled time. Patrons using a study room without making a reservation may be asked to vacate.

Study room occupied?
If the room you have reserved is occupied, go to the circulation desk or Instructional Resource Center and report the problem. Online reservations take precedence; we can verify the space is available to you.

Check in to your reserved space •
Reservations are cancelled after fifteen minutes to open the room for use. Be sure to check in when you arrive, claiming your space.

They're baaaack!
With main floor construction complete, our fifth floor study rooms (501 and 502) are once again available for student use.

ProQuest eBook Central

DEI e-book collection

In 2021, the State Library of Ohio awarded American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to OhioLINK for the purchase of a shared collection of unlimited-user, perpetual-access Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) e-books.

A project team of OhioLINK member librarians selected 163 e-books in total to form the collection. The Phase 2 set of 81 additional titles is now available in the ProQuest Ebook Central platform.

About the ARPA Collection

"This collection allows all OhioLINK member libraries to have access to a base e-book collection in this important and under-resourced area for learning and research. These e-books also could be used as teaching materials to introduce students to a diversity of voices that otherwise might not be available to them." -  OhioLINK, 12/27/23

ATS Receives ATLA Grant

Congratulations to librarians Sarah Thomas and Daniel O'Brien.

During the third round of funding of the OER Grant Program, ATLA awarded Ashland Theological Seminary a grant to create a multimedia resource on Christian Church history consisting of an interactive timeline linking to informative and educational elements. The resource was developed as a LibGuide and is now available under a CC-BY-NC for use and adaptation by anyone who may be seeking OER in church history.

The grant team consisted of six persons from Ashland Theological Seminary’s faculty, library and other support staff: Dr. Jason Barnhart (Assistant Professor of Historical Theology), Sadie Vanderzyden (Grant Assistant), Dr. Pidge Bannin (Senior Instructional Designer), Karen Reaume (Associate Program Director), Sarah Thomas (Theological Librarian) and Daniel O’Brien (Circulation & Digital Services Librarian).

The team created a visually appealing interactive timeline that includes informative text and images to illustrate the subject. Dr. Barnhart explains “This interactive church history timeline will provide a free resource to both students taking church history courses, and those looking to increase their knowledge of key people, events and places that have shaped the Christian story. Instead of costly books of charts and maps, students will now have a resource available through the online presence of our library. My hope would be for this resource to expand further with more church history data along with historical data from the Old and New Testaments and the intertestamental period. With photos, charts and videos, students will be able to immerse themselves in both the biblical and ecclesiastical stories of Christianity.”
