Brand new to Data Planet and excited to learn more? This session is designed to give you an introduction to Data Planet’s interface, explaining how to select datasets of interest, limit your data using available criteria, and adjust your visualizations based on the data selected. 

Integrate Data Into Your Courses

Curious about how you might use more data in your classroom? Interested in promoting data literacy amongst your students? This session is designed with faculty in mind, and we will explore the many ways Data Planet can be integrated into your courses and used for independent research. We will highlight methods for embedding data into course management systems, we will discuss ways for sharing and citing data, and we will also offer suggestions for potential course assignments.

 Looking to get more out of Data Planet? This session will guide you through more advanced options available to Data Planet users, including clever tools to allow you to manipulate data, exportation options for those using external software and in need of raw data, and even permissions around how to publish once you’ve concluded your research!
