Security Updates & OhioLINK

"Some patrons have been reporting problems with connecting to the OhioLINK website from off-campus or remotely. This may be related to some recent security updates we have made to our authentication service to patch security holes that were recently identified. If you are trying to connect to electronic resources such as ejournals or ebooks, and are unable to get authenticated, you [may] need to do a Windows update."

"You will need to check your Windows update status and make sure you have downloaded and installed all of the latest security updates, especially those related to your browser. You are not required to upgrade to IE8 or the latest version of your preferred browser, but you may want to do that. However to access our resources you but must apply all security updates.
