Library Resources Update - IBISWorld Database

    IBISWorld Database has been added back to the AU Library resources! We are happy to have this significant resource back for our faculty and students to use in their research. IBISWorld was a resource previously held by the Library, but was discontinued in Summer 2020 due to budget cuts. 

 
   

   IBISWorld offers users industry profiles with key data on more than 700 U.S. industries, arranged by NAICS code. It can be searched by NAICS code, industry, Company, and keyword. Each report is about 25- 30 pages and covers Industry definitions, Industry performance, Key statistics, Jargon and glossary, and other information.

  It is live and ready to use for your research needs. The best place to find it is through the Library's A to Z Database guide. (https://libguides.ashland.edu/az.php)

Library Spotlight: Alex Awards

New Recreational Reading

The following titles have been recognized as 2021 Alex Award winners; they have have been added to the library's recreational reading collection. You will find them shelved in the new books display or in their regular location on AU Library main floor.

"The Alex Awards are given to ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18. The winning titles are selected from the previous year's publishing. The Alex Awards were first given annually beginning in 1998 and became an official ALA award in 2002." - Alex Awards, YALSA

OhioLINK Resource Maintenance, February 18, 24, 25- [UPDATE: February 25 Cancelled]

OhioLINK applications will have scheduled downtime for maintenance on February 18th, 23rd, and 24th.

Downtime is expected to last from 7-11pm on each of those days, and will affect access to the following:

Electronic Theses and Dissertations Center (etd.ohiolink.edu)
OhioLINK A-Z Database List (databases.ohiolink.edu)

Due to the winter storm warnings forecasted for Ashland and north east Ohio, Ashland University Library will be closing at 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Library Hours: Spring 2021

Welcome to AU Library
AU Library's spring hours schedule begins Monday, January 25th. A complete listing of library hours and updates, including exceptions to regular operating hours, such as holidays and extended hours, is located on the library web site.

• Monday - Thursday:  8 am to Midnight
• Friday:  8 am to 5 pm
• Saturday: Noon to 4 pm
• Sunday:  1 pm to Midnight

Please note that AU Library hours are subject to changes.

Library Hours: January 19 - 24

Ashland University Library will be operating on the following modified hours schedule January 19th through January 24th.

• Tues, 1/19 - Thurs, 1/21:  8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Fri, 1/22:  8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Sat, 1/23: Noon to 4:00 p.m.
• Sun, 1/24: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Library Hours: MLK Holiday

Ashland University Library will be closed Saturday, January 16 through Monday, January 18th in observance of the MLK holiday.  The library's start of term modified hours schedule begins on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
