AU Library Student Orientation in Blackboard Learn can help.

AU Library student orientation features information about resources and services available to Ashland University students in person and online. It is a starting point for all things Ashland University Library including research, resources, and library guides.

Explore our topics in the order presented, or start with items that interest you. Return at any time to review library and IRC tutorials, catch up with Library News, or find someone to help with your library or research.

• Overview: Get started with AU Library Orientation by reviewing what's available, watching the introductory video, seeing what's new with AU Library News, and help us help you by taking our orientation survey. 
•  AU Library: Learn more about AU Library on Campus, resources available to you online, and how to borrow items from AU Library & OhioLINK. 
• Library Research: Review our introductory research videos for finding books, finding articles in library databases, and finding help from the reference team. 
• Welcome to the IRC: Take a tour of the Instructional Resource Center, learn more about our collections, and see what's available with the IRC online. 

Navigating the information landscape can be challenging, we are here to help. AU Library Student Orientation is available to all students, faculty, and staff in Blackboard Learn.

Extended Hours: Coming Soon!

It's almost time! 

Monday, December 4th, AU Library will begin its extended hour's schedule opening at the regular time and remaining open until 2:00 a.m. providing study and work space for students during the last week of classes and finals.

Library Hours: Thanksgiving Break

Ashland University Library hours for Thanksgiving break are noted below. A complete listing of library hours and updates is available on our web site.

• Tuesday, November 21st:  7:45 am to 5:00 pm
• Wednesday, November 22nd:  8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Thursday, November 23rd - Saturday, November 25th:  Closed
• Sunday, November 26th:  Open 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm

AU Library's fall hours schedule resumes on Monday, November 27th. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!

OhioLINK & You

Did you find just the right item in AU Library catalog only to realize it is checked out to someone else?  Do you need an edition of a book we do not yet have?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, be sure to check OhioLINK via the AU library catalog! The item you want may be available at another library; request the item and it can be delivered here, or to any other participating OhioLINK library location, for free.

Yes.  Free.  Really!

AU Librarian's will be able to help you locate and request OhioLINK items. Our friendly circulation staff will guide you through the check-out process when your item arrives, provide information about due dates, and assist with renewals. Ask for help at the main desk, we'll take it from there.

LexisNexis Introduces Nexis Uni

LexisNexis is replacing its LexisNexis Academic database with a new platform called Nexis Uni. Designed to fit the search expectations of today's students, Nexis Uni has the same content as LexisNexis Academic, with features intended to facilitate discovery, student collaboration, and personalization.  Like LexisNexis Academic it is an important source for news from metropolitan newspapers and trade publications; for statutes, regulations, and case law at the federal level and from all 50 states; and for profiles of more than 80 million companies worldwide.
