Library Extended Hours

Sunday, November 30th, AU Library will begin its extended hour's schedule opening at the regular time and remaining open until 2:00 a.m. providing study and work space for students during the last week of classes and finals.

The Instructional Resource Center, library second floor, does not participate in extended hours. Color printing and IRC resources are not available in the library during extended hours. 

Library Hours: Thanksgiving Break

AU Library Hours for Thanksgiving Break are noted below. A complete listing of library hours and updates is available on the library web site.

• Tuesday, November 25th -  7:45  am to 5 pm
• Wednesday, November 26th -  8 am to 5 pm
• Thursday, November 27th - Closed
• Friday, November 28th - Closed
• Saturday, November 29th - Closed

Library extended hours for finals begin on Sunday, November 30th.

Library Patio Entrance

Facilities Management has closed access to the library patio for the season; the surface may become slippery during the inclement winter weather. Stairs leading to the patio and the library entrance will be closed through spring.

Please enter and exit the Library using the main entrance, south side of the building, near Founders and the Auriculum (sculpture).

AU Library Congratulates Kathryn Venditti

Reference and Instruction librarian Kathryn Venditti was honored at the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) 40th Annual Conference on Friday, November 14th, with the Jay Ladd Distinguished Service Award.

"This award recognizes an individual who (1) has been an ALAO member for at least 5 years, and (2) who has promoted academic libraries and librarianship not only on his or her own campus, but also within the state. The award also recognizes someone who has provided leadership in the promotion of ALAO through service such as committee membership, executive board office, or interest group office." -- Jay Ladd Award

Kathryn is an active member of ALAO; her service has included being chair of the Distance Learning Interest Group, chair of the Instruction Interest Group, member of the Conference Program Committee, and Interest Group Coordinator.  Join AU Library in congratulating Kathryn for receiving this distinguished award.

OhioLINK: AU Columbus Center

OhioLINK courier service to the Columbus Center will be discontinued at the end of this semester. Beginning today, Monday, November 10th, the option to select AU Columbus Center as a pick-up location will not be available. Please note that materials already in transit will be delivered to the Columbus Center.

All students may use the OhioLINK pick-up anywhere option and have requested materials delivered to any participating OhioLINK library (member institution).  After selecting an item to request, choose a pick up institution location from the drop down menu on the request verification page.

When picking up items at an OhioLINK library, be sure to (required) :

• present your Ashland University ID - OR -
• know your AU ID # and have a form of identification
